Role Overview 

The IT Business Analyst (ERP) plays a critical role in the successful implementation, enhancement, and optimisation of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. The role focuses on aligning business processes with ERP functionality, ensuring effective system configuration, data integrity, and adoption across finance, supply chain, manufacturing, and operational domains.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support ERP system selection initiatives including requirements definition, vendor evaluation, and solution assessment
• Conduct ERP fit-gap analysis, product demonstrations, and proof-of-concept evaluations
• Prepare RFP/RFI documentation, evaluation scorecards, and business cases
• Support senior stakeholders in ERP vendor shortlisting and selection decisions

• Lead business analysis activities across end-to-end ERP implementations and upgrades
• Translate business requirements into ERP functional designs and configuration specifications
• Support ERP modules including Finance, Supply Chain and HR
• Work closely with ERP functional consultants, developers, and system integrators
• Provide expert advice on Support data migration, system integrations, testing (SIT/UAT), and go-live activities
• Ensure ERP solutions meet audit, compliance, and control requirements

• Gather reporting and analytics requirements aligned with ERP and enterprise data models
• Design architect and deliver Power BI dashboards, KPIs, and executive reports
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and performance of reporting solutions

• Contribute to end-to-end solution architecture design across ERP, BI, and integrated systems
• Define logical and high-level solution architectures, system interfaces, and data flows
• Support integration design using APIs, middleware, and third-party platforms
• Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture standards, security, and scalability principles
• Collaborate with enterprise architects and technical teams to validate solution designs
• Assess architectural impacts of system changes and enhancements

• Support organisational change management and business readiness activities
• Act as a bridge between business stakeholders, IT teams, and vendors

 

ERP & Technology Experience

• Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations
• Oracle E-Business Suite / Oracle Fusion Cloud SAP S/4HANA or equivalent ERP systems
• Experience with Power BI, data models, and enterprise reporting
• Understanding of solution architecture, integrations, and enterprise systems landscape.

 

Required Skills & Competencies  

• Strong ERP business analysis and solution design expertise
• Solid understanding of solution architecture principles and system integration
• Experience delivering Power BI dashboards and analytics solutions
• Proven experience in ERP selection, implementation, and transformation programmes
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Experience working in Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery models
• Strong analytical, documentation, and presentation skills.

 

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business, Engineering, or related discipline
• 10+ years’ experience in ERP Business Analyst, Solution Analyst, or hybrid roles
• Experience across Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing and HR Modules
• ERP, Power BI, and architecture-related certifications are advantageous
